The People

All COTA Home Maintenance Service work is carried out by COTA Home Maintenance Service tradespeople who operate under license authorized by COTA. All tradespeople are fully licensed where appropriate, Police checked annually, are insured, hold Work Health& Safety Certification, have photo identification, uniforms and branded vehicles. The service is only available to COTA members and offers COTA members quality workmanship, integrity, security and peace of mind.

The Process

  • COTA Home Maintenance Service offers members free written quotes, all workmanship is guaranteed and offers you respect, workplace safety and tidiness around your home
  • Once you place a job enquiry, contact is made with you as soon as possible. This is subject to workloads, but a tradesperson will generally make contact the same day, where practical
  • When the quote is accepted, the job will be logged, and the work scheduled with you

COTA represents the rights, interests and needs of older people. Therefore, we advise members DO NOT accept a "discount for cash" from any tradesperson, as this can often indicate that the tradesperson may be unscrupulous. COTA Home Maintenance Service operates mobile EFTPOS; and accepts all major credit cards, cheque and money order. In every case, the contractor will have a review of completed work with you and ensure that the work has been carried out to your satisfaction before settling the account. Also, all work is accompanied via a formal written and receipted account, once payment has been made.
